The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (also known as UNC Charlotte, or, for athletics purposes, Charlotte), is a public, coeucational, research intensive university located in Charlotte, North Carolina in the United States. The university opened on September 23, 1946. Today, it is the fastest growing school in the 17 institution University of North Carolina System. It has four campuses, the main campus is located in University City (Charlotte).
