Valo Cândido de Oliveira Filho ("Filho" is "Son" in portuguese language) better known simply as Valdo, was a Brazilian footballer born on 12 January 1964 in Siderópolis, Brazil. He played as an offensive midfielder for such clubs as SL Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain, and the Brazil national football team. He ended his playing career at the age of forty, after having helped Botafogo achieve its return to the Brasileirão Série A top division.
