A vampire hunter or vampire slayer is someone who specializes in fining and destroying vampires. In dark fantasy fiction, they may sometimes also deal with other harmful supernatural creatures. The most well known vampire hunter is Professor Van Helsing from Bram Stoker's horror novel Dracula.
