Voom HD Networks are a group of 15 original high-efinition television channels that are owned by Rainbow Media, a subsidiary of Cablevision. The channels are produced in true High Definition with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and comprise the largest suite of HD channels in the world. As of June 25, 2007 these channels were available through Dish Network and Cablevision in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Without any warning to its subscribers, Dish Network removed 10 of the channels from their lineup on May 12, 2008 and the remaining 5 were removed the next day.
