Yahweh is an English renition of the Biblical Name of God, יהוה, as preserved in the Masoretic Text. These four Hebrew letters ( יהוה ) are the Tetragrammaton (Greek τετραγράμματον / (to) tetragrammaton: tetra [four] + gramma (gen. grammatos) [letter], "(the word) of four letters") and transliterated JHWH in German, and YHWH, YHVH, JHWH and JHVH in English.
