WZAC 92.5 FM / Z92 is License to Danville WV located in Boone County, West Virginia. Danville is located about 25 miles southwest of Charleston. WZAC started in 1989. WWBB AM 1450 was the first radio station in Boone County. In 1989 WWBB was bought by a local person. Later he built the WZAC 92.5 FM and changed the calls on WWBB 1450 to WZAC for little while. Later on WZAC 1450 was off air and only the FM was on the air. The station started out local people. Then as the years went on it went to 24/7 Formats. Like Jones Radio, Radio One (now Waitt Radio), started playing a mix of Country and Classic Country. Then WZAC went to 24/7 format with Jones playing the "Today's Country" brand. Finally in 2002 the owner flipped the station to all Classic Country.
